Hezekiah Isaiah Wilson, called Uncle Babe by my mother, is my grand uncle. He is the tenth child and the eighth son of Rev Thomas H Wilson and Elizabeth “Betsy” Gulledge. Uncle Babe was born 6 October 1871 in Richland County, South Carolina where he lived all his life.

Rev Thomas Wilson gave each of his children a portion of his land to build a house and rear their family. Hezekiah and Annie Dora lived next door to his parents, Rev Thomas and Elizabeth on one side and on the other side Will Rogers and his wife Dosia.
In 1910 Hezekiah and his family were living on Garners Ferry Road (possibly the same place as in 1900 but different designation on census). He and Annie Dora had 4 children.
