Elmore L Wilson was the second son and the third child of Rev. Thomas H Wilson and Elizabeth Gulledge. Elmore was born 22 October 1855 in Lower Richland County SC.
He first shows up in the 1870 Third Township Richland County SC census as the 12 year old son of T H and Lizzie Wilson. I have looked for him and his family in the 1860 census without success.

*Fanny is listed just below the family of Roach Wilson; the enumerator carried the surname through John
Elmore is not listed in the family. Fanny is living between Elmore’s brothers Roach and Luther, so she is still at the family home. Where is Elmore? He isn’t dead because I will show later that he died in 1922. He isn’t listed in the homes of any of the other family members. Has he left his family? Is he working somewhere else? Are they separated?
This census is the last mention of Frances “Fanny”. She is listed on the death certificates of several of Elmore’s children as their mother – Fanny Parker. I have yet to find out anything about her.

30 March 1922 died at home – 605 Pulaski St Columbia SC, married, name of wife not given, died of pulmonary tuberculosis at 67 years old, buried in Haithcock Graveyard
Where was he in 1900?
In 1910 he is living in Richland County. Both of Daisy’s children who are listed as his son and daughter were born before 1910. Lee, the daughter, was 14 in 1920, so was born around 1906. Mack, the son, was 12 in 1920, so was born around 1908. Was Elmore in Florida in 1900?
Elmore’s youngest son, James W. Wilson, was born in 1901, so if Elmore was in Florida it was after 1901.
When did Frances “Fannie” die and who is she? Who are her parents? Where was she born?
Why is Elmore buried in the Haithcock family graveyard? Was Daisy a Haithcock?
