James Franklin Curlee
James Franklin Curlee, 25 Jun 1881-28 Mar 1976, was the fifth child of John William Curlee and Nancy Jane Allen. He was born in Burnsville, Anson, North Carolina. His father John William Curlee was a farmer according to the 1880 Burnsville Anson census.

Crawford Demander Curlee 4 Feb 1906-29 Nov 1981 was James Franklin's and Betty's third child. He married Jennie Lee Coble. He is buried at Smith Grove Primitive Baptist Church in Oakboro Stanly NC.
In 1910 James Franklin was listed as a farmer. Living in the house were his wife, Betty, and his children Dovie, John and Crawford.

James Franklin Curlee died of an acute MI 28 Mar 1976 at the age of 94. He is buried at Rocky Mount Baptist Church along with his wife.
